Media Standards Trust

Media Standards Trust Projects and Events

The Media Standards Trust works to foster high standards in news.

What does this mean? It means that we find and reward quality journalism through The Orwell Prize, that we promote openness and transparency through our transparency initiative, that we increase accountability through www.journalisted.com and that we try to raise awareness about news standards through debates and discussion.

News debates

The Media Standards Trust holds regular live debates to raise awareness about standards in news. These address critical questions issues facing the news media – the relationship between the media and public life, the boundaries between news and private life, the relationship between journalism and public relations, and so on. To receive emails about forthcoming events subscribe to the Media Standards Trust email.
